Papa-Mama Barnett Clan
The clan has roots in: Australia, USA, and Kenya. Our patriarch, A.E. (Bert - Papa) Barnett, was born in the farm country of New South Wales, Australia. He migrated to USA, and there decided to follow Jesus. He and his Swedish wife Elma(Mama) trekked to the remote Laikipia area of Kenya in 1907 to start serving God and Kenyan people as pioneer career missionaries with the Africa Inland Mission. Their five children returned to Kenya as missionaries. The Kenya town of Kabarnet is named after Papa Barnett.

The B. Earl Barnett Family
1 review(s)
This page started out to be primary of my father's side of the family who settled in Upper Greenville County, South Carolina in the late 1700's. As the research grew it expanded over 250 Barnett family units and to over 600 related family units in North and South Carolina. From my mother's side I have some Whitaker's who settled in Buncombe County, North Carolina.
